Audio Samples

This is the sample page for the paper 'Evaluation of BLE-based Audio Broadcasting Under Probabilistic Interference', published in Computer Communications (Elsevier).
The goal of these samples is to provide a reader with examples illustrating the variable listening experience that is expected from audio samples that have a PESQ score either in zone A, B or C.

Before encoding, all samples have been rescaled to -26 dB, to provide a more streamlined listening experience over all degraded audio samples.

Each row presented in the table below contains every Packet Loss Concealment (PLC) technique for a single experiment (i.e. same packet loss rate and pattern) on either the male or female audio file. The experiment that is presented in a single row is based on one of the associated PLC techniques leading to a PESQ score in zone A, B or C. The PESQ score of the cell containing the PLC technique on which the current row's experiment selection is based, is indicated in bold green.

The presented PLC techniques are:

The Baseline column contains the audio sample after decoding but without being subjected to any packet loss beforehand.
